Usrportsupdating

I personally find it much easier to use a news reader than manually checking the file each time I want to update my ports.Like most Perl scripts, the one generating the feed is short, uses a lot of CPAN modules, and is a bit ugly :) You can check it on Git Hub. It will run Free NAS and will be used as a file, rsync, Bit Torrent and printer server.) and also lumina which would leave me without a window-manager! -andyf _______________________________________________ [hidden email] mailing list https://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-ports To unsubscribe, send any mail to "[hidden email]" - pkg delete -f libcheck or - portmaster -o devel/check libcheck -- Herbert _______________________________________________ [hidden email] mailing list https://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-ports To unsubscribe, send any mail to "[hidden email]" Thanks Herb! The -f flag is not mentioned in the man page for pkg(8). -andyf _______________________________________________ [hidden email] mailing list https://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-ports To unsubscribe, send any mail to "[hidden email]" To be fair, the pkg(8) man page does not mention that pkg(8) calls sub-programmes like pkg-delete(8). -andyf _______________________________________________ [hidden email] mailing list https://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-ports To unsubscribe, send any mail to "[hidden email]" sub-programmes like pkg-delete(8).Port Upgrade upgraded PHP to 5.3.3 successfully, but it got problems while upgrading PHP modules, it’s mainly caused by the change of PCRE package which became part of PHP on Free BSD since 5.3.

_______________________________________________ [hidden email] mailing list https://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-ports To unsubscribe, send any mail to "[hidden email]" My proposal is that the man page for pkg(8) should state this. I did 'pkg delete -f libcheck' and then 'portmaster -a' again - devel/check installed, whereas before it would not. But now 'portmaster -a' fails in multimedia/mplayer2 :( :( ...something about "/usr/local/lib/libcdio_cdda.so: undefined reference to '[email protected]_16'"...(nothing in /usr/ports/UPDATING about this) But devel/check won't install because: pkg-static: check-0.11.0 conflicts with libcheck-0.10.0 (installs files into the same place).Problematic file: /usr/local/bin/checkmk I then tried 'pkg delete libcheck' but it wants to delete 48 packages including my mate-base (which I rely on!In practice however it's not, Mike explains how to do it under Free NAS in his blog.September 5, 2010 Posted in PHP Update: please see my new post: PHP 5.3 Isn’t That Bad Media Wiki doesn’t like PHP 5.2.8, I had to upgrade PHP to install Media Wiki.
